Who We Are
The Sarnia Community Foundation is governed by a volunteer board of directors appointed by an external nominating committee. A mix of skills and occupations is a consideration in final nomination along with an understanding of the community and the not for profit environment. All directors serve without remuneration for a three year term which may be renewed.
The Foundation also relies on the expertise of community members to assist in the grant process, with governance and for special events. Like the board of directors, they represent the community of Sarnia Lambton and give of their time and talents without remuneration. We recognize that they have many options when considering the giving of time and work hard to ensure that their opinions are respected and that the time they contribute is well spent.
